A person who is obsessed is characterized by committed, settled, passionate love for God, above and before every other thing and every other being.

Quotes from Another Happy Girl :)

So i’m still having a hard time adjusting to life in the states, so i decided to listen to a CD that i listened to last year when I was struggling with life… while going to nursing school…

Check out some of these lyrics!

Beautiful, Beautiful
Like sunlight burning at midnight
Making my life something so
Beautiful, beautiful
Mercy reaching to save me
All that I need
You are so
Beautiful, beautiful

Now there’s a joy inside I can’t contain
But even perfect days can end in rain
And though it’s pouring down
I see You through the clouds
Shining on my face

Behind the Scenes
You may think
I’m just fine
How could anything
Ever be out of line?

I take my time
To set the stage
To make sure everything
Is all in place

Even though I’ve got the lines rehearsed
A picture only paints a thousand words

(Chorus)
Things aren’t always what they seem
You’re only seeing part of me
There’s more than you could ever know
Behind the scenes
I’m incomplete and I’m undone
But I suppose like everyone
There’s so much more that’s going on
Behind the scenes

Sometimes I can’t see
Anything
Through the dark
Surrounding me
And at times I’m unsure
About the ground
Beneath my feet
If it’s safe and sound

When it’s hard to find hope in the unseen
I have peace in knowing it will find me

You may think I’m just fine
How could anything ever be out of line?

I’m Letting Go
I’m letting go
Of the life I planned for me
And my dreams
I’m losing control
Of my destiny
It feels like I’m falling and that’s what it’s like to believe
So I’m letting go

This is a giant leap of faith
Trusting and trying to embrace
The fear of the unknown
Beyond my comfort zone

Giving in to your gravity
Knowing You are holding me
I’m not afraid

Time In Between
Don’t take much for this crazy world
To rob me of my peace
And the enemy of my soul
Says You’re holding out on me
So I stand here lifting empty hands
For you to fill me up again

That’s enough for you to ponder now… probably too much, hehe. But there are great!!!!

~eli… who’s letting GO!!

My little brother brought me Home a CD

Today when I got home from work, my little brother had just got home from going to town with Mom and my sister. He said, “Hey Liza, I got you a present” and had this huge smile on his face. I was puzzled….
He handed me Francesca Battistelli’s CD My Paper Heart. I was touched 🙂
I love some of those songs! Some of them I haven’t heard, but the ones I know I love!

“It’s your life, whatcha gonna do? The world is watching you…”

“Free to be me…”

“I’m letting go of the plans I have for me…”

Good stuff!

AND… she’s just my age 😉 So that makes me feel special.

Blessed Be Your Name!

Here’s a song that’s meant a lot to me since I learned it!! Today it’s been on my heart and now I share it with you.

Blessed be Your name
In the land that is plentiful
Where the streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
When I’m found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing you pour out,
I turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say…

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun’s shining down on me
When the world’s all as it should be
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there’s pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing you pour out,
I turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say…

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, Blessed be Your name

An Email from Greg Yoder

I received this email tonight and found it sobering, though, as he said, God IS in control, very much in control!  Yet, read this email and then pray!

Dear Friends:

Statistics show that in order for a culture to perpetuate itself, it
must have a birthrate of 2.11 children per family. Civilizations with a
fertility rate of 1.9 irreversibly decline. As of 2007, the European
Union has a fertility rate of 1.38. Canada’s is 1.6. The United States’
rate is 2.11. In contrast, the fertility rate for Muslim families is 8.1.

*Within the next 40 years, it is believed that France will become an
Islamic Republic; Germany will follow by 2050. Within 30 years, the
United States will have a population of 50 million Muslims.*
**

I watched a video recently on YouTube describing the growth of the
Muslim population called, ‘Muslim Demographics.’ It is sobering.
However, God is in total control. He’s using willing people just like
you and me to reach Muslims with the Gospel. Because of radical elements
in their faith, many Muslims are looking for truth. *NOW is the time to
reach out to them with the Gospel. *

Prayer is needed NOW.

Muslims will be praying and fasting during Ramadan (Aug 22 – Sept 20)
and Mission Network News would like you to pray that Muslims around the
world will come to know Christ during their holiest time of the year.
Many Christians want to participate in Muslim evangelism, but don’t know
where to begin.  World Christian has produced the *30-Days Muslim Prayer
Guide* to help you on your prayer journey. Each day focuses on a
specific area of the Islamic world. As you pray, you’ll gain knowledge
and understanding of the Islamic culture and a heart for the people that
transcends the headlines.

In His grip,

Greg Yoder, Anchor & Executive Director

Sorrow

“For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance, without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.”  2nd Corinthians 7:10

“we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life; indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope.  And He will yet deliver us”  from 2nd Corinthians 1:8-10

“But God, who comforts the depressed” 2nd Corinthians 7:6
