About Me…
My name is Elizabeth. I grew up in Texas and I was very proud of my country 
But in January 2010, I went down to live in the Dominican Republic and Haiti for a while. That was when my Great Adventure started. I found that my heart was there. When I returned to the States the end of April, I couldn’t get satisfied. I detested the American culture… I wanted to go back where everyone thought I was Dominican. I rebelled against my home… soy americano ya no! I said.
This is a totally new journey I’m on now. I like to call it my Great Adventure.
I met lots of people: Christians who’s passions match mine: MISSIONS! My dream is to go back and live in Haiti. I also can’t wait to get back to Juan Dolio 
I loved working at SCORE.
I moved to North Carolina in July 2010. God has been [trying] to refine me and I have learned many lessons while here. I pray He continues to reveal His will for my life as I continue to grow in Him. I’m working as a nurse and pursuing my BSN and ultimately my masters in nursing… I want to be a nurse practitioner. I go through many times of doubting whether or not this is where I’m supposed to be/what I’m supposed to be doing… but I always come to the conclusion that I am to be here for now.
My goals for 2012 including wanting to be more like Jesus and love Him more, because in turn, that will make me more like Him, loving unconditionally, and removing myself from drama and stress, as well as get a good chunk bit out of my schooling. I miss my bff and Texas sure is far away…
I love Jesus Christ and want Him to be my ALL.

Wow! So you are in Haiti! I’m in Ecuador… I think God is up to some fantastic things in our world and in our lives! I would love to get reconnected with you and hear about all that you are learning and doing! Until then, may the Lord keep you in His perfect peace.

I think it’s so exciting that we’re both doing missions at the same time… for the same amount of time. I love it here in the Dominican and I love it even more in haiti!! I feel like i’m right where God wants me and it’s awesome. . . I can’t wait to hear about your trip and will fill you in on mine when we can talk sometime!! My love to you!! your sis
